Water resources shortage has been the bottleneck in the development of iron andsteel enterprises in our country. Therefore, it is of positive significance to popularizewater-saving technology in order to promote sustainable development of enterprises.According to the water usage situation of backward production processes andequipments, excessive water consumption, low water recycling rate and serious wasteof water resources, Rockcheck Steel Group Co. Ltd constructed aecologicalpurification system to develop unconventional water resources, to promotewater-saving technology, and to strengthen the cascade of water and water recycling.The problem of high water consumption in iron and steel enterprises is also solved.According to the analysis of collected natural resources, climate andgeographical information associated with the location of the project, it was indicatedthat the treatment and recycling facilities is necessary. On the basis of analyzing theutilization of water resources in Rockcheck Steel Group Co. Ltd, the allocation ofwater resources was optimized. Multi-source water treatment regeneration systemwith the source of drainage, sewage and river of sewage was established. Theeffluents were reused for the factory production process and supplemental water ofcirculating cooling water system with different water quality. By comparison andselection of the processes,“hydrolytic acidification+CAST+coagulation andsedimentation+CMF+RO” was determined as the integration technology ofwater-saving emission reduction, indicating the feasibility and applicability of theprocess in this project. On this basis, the treatment process was designed deeply, andthe major equipment was selected. Actual operating results show the stable processand the satisfying treatment effect, therefore, the water can be reused for theproduction.Through the construction of the ecological purification system, the realization ofmulti-purposes and water cascade are maximized, and the water-saving effect isremarkable. Annual water-saving capacity of the enterprise is1.095×107ton, andannual emission reductions of COD, BOD, NH3-N and TP is1300t,170t,500t and16t, respectively, which achieves remarkable social effects.
