This paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter is introduction. This chapter mainly describes the principles of fluorescencedetection, the composition of LIFD, structure and combined with other detection technologies. It also introduce the prospect to the future. The second chapter is that design and test of practical and simple laser-inducedfluorescence detector. Based on orthogonal structure, developed a simple HPLC laser-inducedfluorescence detector. It used930fluorescence spectrometer for the skeleton and borrowedShimadzu RF-535test pool.Together with self-adjustable power supply,it applied532nm and405nm wavelength laser as the excitation source of self respectively, with Rhodamine B andFluorescein as the fluorescent reagent evaluate the performance of the system. Test resultsshow that the detector met the design requirements. It had enough practical sensitivity andwide linear range.Relative to the Commercial fluorescence detector, the detector had a verylow cost, optical system is simple, easy calibration and practical advantages. It is suitable forthe routine analysis that products were such as fluorescent reagents and dye.The third chapter is that determination of formaldehyde and fcetaldehyde in ethyleneglycol by HPLC-UVD.The injector and the relative gas pipeline systerm were modified. Theresearch of accuracy was detected using mixed alcohol, and the result show that thereproducibility and the accuracy meet the design requirements.
