In recent years, the preparation of nano-TiO2 and its composite materials with the different morphologies are arousing more and more attention. In this paper, a new nano-TiO2 material and two magnetic nano-TiO2 composite materials were prepared by some facile and simple routes: hollow cubic titania nanostructure,γ-iron/titania, zinc ferrite@titania. The photocatalytic properties of hollow cubic titania nanostructure,γ-iron/titania and the adsorption properties of zinc ferrite@titania hollow spheres were studied. The main content was concluded as follows:1. Hollow cubic TiO2 was synthesized using cubic Cu2O particles to be hard templates, and by the hydrolysis of tetrabutyl titanate (TBOT). The products were characterized by XRD, FESEM, TEM, UV-Vis. The results show that hollow cubic TiO2 is composed of anatase TiO2, and a stronger absorption at 300-400 nm wavelengths. Experiments were carried out using methyl orange as the pollutant object to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of hollow cubic TiO2. It’s found that the hollow cubic TiO2 has a very good photocatalytic property. And the degradation rate of the methyl orange, using 125W ultraviolet light irradiation after 120 minutes, is 95%.2.γ-Fe2O3/TiO2 hollow spheres were successfully synthesized by the hydrolysis of tetrabutyl titanate (TBOT),using Fe3O4 hollow spheres as the basis.γ-Fe2O3/TiO2 hollow spheres were characterized by XRD, IR, TEM, UV-Vis, TG and VSM. Experiments were carried out using methyl orange as the pollutant object to evaluate the photocatalytic activity ofγ-Fe2O3/TiO2 hollow spheres. The results show that the degradation rate of methyl orange, after the solution of methyl orange containingγ-Fe2O3/TiO2 hollow spheres is irradiated by 125W ultraviolet light for 90 minutes, is 100%.3. ZnFe2O4@TiO2 hollow spheres were successfully synthesized by the sorce of ZnFe2O4 hollow spheres as the basis, SiO2 as the transition layer and TiF4 as the sorce of Ti. ZnFe2O4@TiO2 hollow spheres were characterized by XRD, TEM, UV-Vis, TG and VSM. We investigated the adsorptive performance of ZnFe2O4@TiO2 hollow spheres to methyl orange, and found that the ratio of adsorption methyl orange after 15 minutes is 100%.
