When scaling or corrosion appears in industry and civil heat exchange equipment,there will be many adverse effects on equipment’s safety and efficiency.The scaling results the equipment’s efficiency dropping,a significant consumption in energy and cost. The scaling lower the efficiency of heat transfer device,the conduction heating surface temperature overheates,resulting drum blister, crack, cartridge igniter and other safety incidents;The scaling will initiate the corrosion damage,create equipment perforation divulging,shorten equipment using life;The scaling will cause production process not to be steady,influence product quality,and initiate quality accident and so on.This article synthesised a water-soluble scale and corrosion inhibitor, 1-Hydroxy Ethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid(HEDP),with phosphorus trichloride, acetic acid and water. The influencing fators:ratio of mole, the reaction temperature,the reaction time,the backflow mixing time and so on have been studied.Had designed the orthogonal experiment and had determined the optimum response condition of synthesizes HEDP.The infrared spectrum analysis result indicated that phosphorus oxyhen, hydroxyl functional groups and so on were seen in the synthesis scale and corrosion inhibitor.Each experimental result indicated that the scale and corrosion inhibitor HEDP has the low dose effect,when the dosage of HEDP is 5mg/L, its anti-scaling rate has achieves 78.5%, With low-dose effects, can be used as a green scale inhibitor. Experiments showed that,with75mg/L dose, HEDP inhibition rate is 86%,it can be a excellent corrosion inhibitor.Further, on the basis of HEDP, using 2-Ethyl hexanol as raw materials, 4-toluene sulfonic acid as catalyst, synthesised a new inhibitor 1-hydroxy Ethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic Acid-2-ethylhexanol ester(HEDP-EHAE).Studied the influencing fator, ratio of mole,the reaction temperature,the reaction time,the backflow mixing time and so on. And had designed the orthogonal experiment on this foundation.Determined the best synthesis craft of HEDP-EHAE:with ratio of reactant mole is 1:3.5,catalyst amount used 1.5g,reaction time is 4 hours,reaction temperature is 170℃.The infrared spectrum analysis indicated that the product includes phosphite chatacteristic functional group. The experimental result indicated that HEDP-EHAE scale inhibitor has the following excellent performance:(1) Structure contains hydrophilic groups, phosphate, hydrophobic groups and alkyl. So HEDP-EHAE both dissolve in water phase,and dissolve in the oil phase,so it can be used for oil field scale controling.(2) It’s has good heat durability,can use within 400℃.(3) HEDP-EHAE has good performance as a corrosion inhibitor.Plant sampling verification experiment showed that: HEDP-EHAE can be a very good scale inhibition,compared with the without inhibitors the phenomenon is very explicit,which shows HEDP-EHAE can be used for catalytic cracking production of petrochemical system,will be widely used.
