Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDS) have important applications in LCD flat panel display and full color display. In achieving full-color device, the blue material of slightly lags behind the development of green and red materials. The preparations of novel structure, good performance blue electroluminescent materials, not only help to speed up the whole pace of the industrialization of color devices, but also accelerate the development of display technology. Spiro-aromatic hydrocarbons because of its unique structure, excellent performance are an effective monomer for preparing organic blue material, it is our starting point. At the same time 4-hydroxy carbazole in the application of electroluminescence is also one of the focuses of our research.In this paper, we designed and synthesized small molecule organic materials with novel structure, unique functions, and good performance. By UV absorption (UV), photoluminescence (PL), thermal gravimetric analysis (TG), differential thermal analysis (DSC), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and other tests on the effective characterization of target compounds. Research work of our thesis focuses on the three aspects as following:1. A series of spiral fluorene xanthene conjugated system 2SFX、NNPY、NNSFX和PSFX were synthesized by Suzuki reaction; we introduce the pyrene and naphthalene unit to research the conjugation of the fluorene system and the stacking effect. Test results show that they were potential blue emitting material.2. In order to further research the 4 - Hydroxy carbazole in optoelectronic applications, we have modified 4 - Hydroxy carbazole flexible chain and rigid chain separately, two target compounds PYCZMEE and DIPCZMEE were synthesized, we studied their luminescent properties, and tested in different solvents and concentrations. We also investigated the thermal stability of the compounds, and morphological stability. Test results that they are good blue material, with good stability.3. We obtained our target compounds SFX-EOX-SFX by Friedel-Crafts reaction on 9,9 - diaryl fluorene introduction of (3-ethyloxetan-3-yl) methanol, and then by Suzuki reaction with 1-(spiro[fluorene-9,9’-xanthene]-2-yl)borinane. We researched the impact of (3-ethyloxetan-3-yl) methanol to the conjugated system, the target compounds with little change in the different solvents and vary concentration. So it has a very good spectral stability. Thermal analysis also showed that it has excellent thermal stability.
