Effects Of Konjac Glueomanan-Chinese Herbalmedicine Compound Coating Agent On Fresh-Keeping Of ’Gala’ Apple

In the present study,‘Gala’apple was treated with different concentrations of KGM and species of chinese herbalmedicine separately.According to the fresh-keeping effect and ouside appearance of‘Gala’apple,we got three better concentrations of KGM and three best species of chinese herbalmedicine Then based on the result,we designed orthogonal test of three factors and three levels,in which 0.03%Tween-20 was plused.At the same time,the influence on Gala apple stored in cool storage conditions was further studied after being coated by the coaing agent,including rates of weight loss and decay of fruits,respiration rate and ethylene production rate,quality factor,physical change,protective enzyme activity and lipid peroxidation,etc.Orthogonal test design was used for 108 d coated and stored apples,and the indexes of weightlessness loss,rotted fruit rate and firmness were analyzed statistically,then we screened out the best coating agent.In the next year,the influence on‘Gala’apple stored in normal conditions was further studied after being coated by the best coating agent to approve our experient result.The results showed as follows:1 Through the concentrations and species selection of single element about KGM,Chinese herbalmedicine on‘Gala’apple,the three better concentrations of KGM were 2.0 g/L,3.0 g/L,4.0 g/L;the three better species of chinese herbalmedicine were clove,cornus officinalis,reynoutria,and the concentration of them is 6.0 g/L.2 Orthogonal test design was used for 108 d coated and stored apples,and the indexes of weightness loss,rotted fruit rate and firmness were analyzed statistically.The best compound is a mixture composed of 3.0 g/L KGM,6.0 g/L Clove and 0.03%Tween-20,and time of the treatment is 2 min.3 KGM compound coating agent delayed the decrease of flesh firmness,postponed the degeneration speed of titrate acid,total soluble solid and vitamin c,reduced rates of weightlessness and decay of fruits.4 KGM compound coating agent postponed the appearing time of respiration and ethylene peaks.It also remarkably degraded the height of respiration and ethylene peaks.5 KGM compound coating agent increased superoxide dismutase (SOD),peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) activities,and slowed down the increase of malondlaldehyde (MDA) content and the relative membrane permeability,thereby reducing the extent of lipid peroxidation.6 KGM compound coating agent restrained polyphenol qxidase(PPO) activity,and promoted the increase of phenylalamine ammonia lyase(PAL) activity.7 In the next year’s experiment,we draw the conclusion:the best coating agent (3.0 g/L KGM,6.0 g/L clove and 0.03%tween-20,and time of the treatment is 2 min) delayed the decrease of flesh firmness,postponed the degeneration speed of titrate acid,total soluble solid,reduced rates of weightlessness and decay of fruits.It also remarkably degraded the height of respiration peak.
