In this paper, we prove the global existence and exponential stability of solutions to the thermoelastic equations of typeⅡwith a positive definite relaxation.Moreover, the global solution, together with its the third-order full energy is exponentiallystable for any t>0.There are two chapters in this thesis. In Chapter 1, we introduce the physical background of our model, the development state and the problem under consideration in this thesis; and we introduce some notations and main theorems. In Chapter 2, we will prove Theorem 1.1, the proof of which is based on the methods used by Yuming Qin in reference [34], in which he proves the global existence, exponential stability for g≡0.
