PU182 is in the western slope of Songliao basin which is the joint of Putaohua anticline and qijiagulong sag.It is found that amount of fault is large.Structure of formation is so complicated. Fault sealing is the one of the most important factors which controlls reservoir forming derectly or inderectly.In this study, a method with the combination of petroleum structure analysis, reservoir geology and petroleum geology, based on geology, well data and geophysics data, has been applied to investigate the structural evolution characteristics and faults sealing in this area and we predicted some favorite areas and made some recommendations for well location arrangement.We take 11 faults as the main target to discuss in the whole thesis.Controlled by the regional tectonic setting,this area experienced three-stage tectonic movement. The Daqing placanticline structure formed at the end of Nenjiang Formation. The compressions at the end of Mingshui Formation succeeded to the former structural movement, and finalized the structural pattern of this area.It shows faults is open to act as passages except NO.11 in Nenjiang Formation,then part of fault became open in Mingshui Formation and now most faults are sealing except NO2. It is concluded that fault opening in early stage is good for oil migration, while fault sealing in later stage is good for oil accumulation.Based on these studies combined with sedimentary analysis, sand distribution and faults sealing, we predicted 5 favorite areas finally.
