The tectonic position of Qimantage area is in the Qimantage early Paleozoic suture zone, and north to south from the Qaidam Massif to the middle Kunlun compound magmatic arc of the early Paleozoic-late Paleozoic. The region hace a well-exposed of strata, various tectonic conditions, complicated ore-bearing horizon, repeated tectonic movements and frequently to magmatic activity. The Qimantage belt possess such ore-forming geological condition of porphyry+ skarn+ hydrothermal controlled by the faults.Hutouya orefield is located in the heart of Qimantage metallogenic belt, and belongs to one of the most important polymetallic deposits. Through the analysis of ore-controlling structure and skarn deposit, the research have made a number of promising achievements.1.By studying the structure of Hutouya Orefield, as far as I’m concerned, fructure, contact zone structure, magma-thermal structure and ductile shear zone are very important to the mineralization. Among them, fracture belt is the most important. The fracture can be classified into three levels and types. The first level of controlling fracture is north Kunlun Fracture belt, which is a regional break. The second level of controlling fracture is faulted and shattered zone, such as F1、F2、F3、F4、F5 often be found in the orefeild. The third level of controlling fracture is some small breaks around the faulted and shattered zone.2.We can classify the fractures by their extension direction, they are NWW, EW, NEE, NE and SN direction. Among them, the fractures of EW direction do most to the mineralization.3.By studying the geochemical characteristics of granite porphyry, we can be sure that there are obvious connection between mineralization and magma. And it belongs to I granite prophyry. The separation and crystallization of plagioclase may happen in the source region of magma.4.Compared the principle element, trace element, and REE of granite prophyry, skarn and marble, I think there is a sure component exchange happen in them. The element of skarn has something like the granite prophyry, especially the principle element. Skarn has more SiO2、A12O3、FeO、Fe2O3、K2O、Na2O、TiO2 than the marble, while the CaO、MgO are less.5.Mineralization model and ore finding prospect: In late Indo-Chinese epoch, the geology environment is tension after orogeny. A large number of magma invasion happened through the north Kunlun Fracture belt at this time. These invaded magma become the intrusive rock of the orefield. They are controlled by the breaks in the superficial place. The magma was controlled by the second and third level of breaks. The component exchange happened between magma and rock that arounded the magma. Then the skarn showed up. Finally, the deposit was formed. It is controlled by the breaks. So the existence of the mineralization model-granite prophyry+ skarn+ hydrothermal controlled by the faults. is sure. The ore prospecting target areas are also delineated and classified into three levels., which can help the ore prospecting.
