Wulan Moren tectonic melange zone in Baluntai area of Central Tianshan is a nearly East-West distribution of the plate suture zone between Yili block and Middle Tianshan microblock. In this paper, on the theoretical basis of Modern plate tectonics theory, Tectonic geology, Petrology and Geochemistry, through the detailed field geological survey, Wulan Moren tectonic melange zone’ material composition, petrographic characteristics, basic structural framework, edge fracture, geochemical characteristics and the tectonic setting has been explored synthetically and detailedly.Combined with previous studies, the Baluntai’ tectonic pattern since the early Paleozoic and its evolution has been discussed. The study of Wulan Moren tectonic melange zone in Baluntai area belt mixed rock gabbro in L A-ICP-MS U-Pb dating, which is concluded that206Pb/238 U weighted average age was 929.1±8.2Ma, represents the gabbro stimulation of the initial formation of the crystallization age, when the Kyrgyzstan Ocean has opened in Qingbaikouan Period. Wulan Moren tectonic melange belt in the developmental sequence of intrusion of magma rock geochemical analysis and tectonic environment is concluded that Late Silurian to Early Carboniferous Kyrgyzstan Ocean basin subduction and the expansion of the South Tianshan ocean; In Early Carboniferous, the Kyrgyzstan Ocean basin has been closed, Yili block and Central Tianshan massif in the unified form of Yili- Tianshan massif. The study of Wulan Moren tectonic melange zone in Baluntai area of Middle Tianshan has great significance for the discuss of the tectonic evolution process in the Middle Tiansan region and even the Central Asian orogenic belt since Early Paleozoic.
