Uranium resources are the important guarantee of nuclear power development, with the large-scale industrialization boost, uranium will become one of the important factors restricting our economic development. This paper used the key areas of Meifeng Mountain and Yaoping in Xiangshan, Jiangxi provirence as the research object aimed at solving the present uranium resources shortage problems in our country. Soil radon gas instantaneous measurement, ground high-precision magnetic survey △T and ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, thorium and potassium survey were carried out under the corresponding industry standards by using deep penetration of the latest technology and geochemical ideas. Field data acquisition and indoor data processing were finished. A set of contour maps were drew by processing the survey data. Besides, the abnormal value about soil radon had been explained. Furthermore,anomalous areas of soil radon had been delineated which provided reliable basis for finding prospecting target with certain metallogenic potential. At last, the metallogenic characteristics of the researched area were studied. The main contents and research findings were as follows.(1) Ground γ-ray spectrometric survey was carried out. Ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, γ-ray spectrum thorium and γ-ray spectrum potassium content were drew by processing the survey data. It gained a series of conclusions. The content anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, thorium and potassium in Meifeng moutain were poor matching. There was only a small coincidence in the content anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum thorium and potassium. But there was a good coincidence in the content anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium and thorium in Meifeng moutain ore deposit. Besides, the content anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, thorium and potassium in Yaoping were good matching. The tend of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium and thorium distribution was almost the same. It preseneted northwest–southeast orientation and appeared banded extension. The content anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum potassium had a wide range which almost covered the range of the content anomalous fields of groundγ-ray spectrum uranium and thorium.(2) The ground high-precision magnetic measurement was carried out. High precision magnetic survey plane contour map was drew. It gained a series of conclusions. There were small amount of magnetic survey anomalous zones distributed near the known fault zones And there was no fault zones in most magnetic survey anomalous zones.The magnetic survey anomaly fields in Meifeng moutain distributed widely. And the distribution had no direction. There was a long and wide magnetic anomaly area which preseneted northwest – southeast orientation and had a large intensity in Yaoping.(3) The instantaneous soil radon gas measurement was carried out. The contour maps of soil radon activity concentration were drew by processing the survey data. Besides,the soil radon anomaly characteristics were analyzed. It gained a series of conclusions.In the research area, the range of soil radon gas anomalous fields was smaller than the range of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, thorium content anomalous fields and the range of magnetic survey anomalous fields. Moreover, they had big difference in spatial distribution. The soil radon gas content anomalous fields were exactly opposite to the anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, thorium and potassium.Generally, there was no anomalous fields of ground γ-ray spectrum uranium, thorium and potassium in the range of soil radon gas content anomalous fields. The soil radon gas content anomalous fields which tended to the northwest was related to the Shazhou fault zone which acrossed to the central part of surveyed areas. The soil radon gas content anomalous fields in Yaoping appeared near the northeast and north-northeast.
