The spatial and temporal distribution of patinopecten yessoensis planktonic larvae is highly uncertain, leading to the great difficulties for the seedlings collection from nature, therefore predicting the distribution is of great significance to improve the operating efficiency of the collecting. Based on the patinopecten yessoensis larvae biological site survey information, basic equations of motion of physical oceanography and particle tracking technology was used to establish spatial and temporal distribution prediction model of patinopecten yessoensis larvae in the Northern Chinese Yellow Sea.Firstly, hydrological data of Northern Yellow Sea was collected and analyzed and put into the three-dimensional hydrodynamic model. After verification, the tide simulation results consistent with the measured data. Therefore it can be concluded that the hydrodynamic numerical model can be applied to simulate the flow fields in the Northern Yellow Sea.Within the drive of flow field simulation, set numerical experiments of influence on wind and topography on the current field; by analysis on wind field of nearly three years in northern Yellow Sea, compare with the impact on flow field of deal no wind, southwest wind and southerly wind, the same to flat and real terrain. Then discuss the influence on the trend of the field in the wind field and terrain, lay the foundation for further affect on Patinopecten Yessoensis planktonic larvae distributed.Secondly, the biological nature of Patinopecten Yessoensis was analyzed and the prediction model was built by the particle tracking model to simulate the passive drift and diffusion process of Patinopecten Yessoensis planktonic larvae which is influenced by wind and tide. At the same time, set planktonic larvae collected seedlings experiments in the sea near Lushun, then measure its concentration, for subsequent simulation experiments provide real basis. The simulated results show that the passive drift and diffusion process of Patinopecten Yessoensis planktonic larvae was mainly affected by flow tide and then was the wind. The flow field is mainly affected by tidal force of moon and sun, therefore the rate of change is not so large. The wind field is not stable during April to late May because it is affected by dual influence of ocean and continent. In April, wind direction is mainly southeast and in May wind direction is east. The hydrodynamic flow field direction is from northeast to southwest in the Northern Yellow Sea due to the influence of tide and wind fields and topography. The direction of passive drift Patinopecten Yessoensis planktonic larvae is coincide with the hydrodynamic flow field direction, it will reach Bohai Bay in Lvshun eventually. This conclusion conforms with the relevant research materials, meanwhile illustrate the source problem of Patinopecten Yessoensis in Lvshun from the perspective of numerical simulation.
