In the field of cognitive neuroscience, macaques are one of the most important animal samples. Meanwhile, functional magnetic resonance imaging plays an irreplaceable role on the study of macaques’ senior cognitive behavior. In order to obtain higher output signal-to-noise ratio and system sensitivity, multi-channel receive coils are commonly applied to the magnetic resonance signal detection. However, the coupling between multi-channel coils will increase the difficulty during debugging. Decoupling between the channels, therefore, is one of the key technical problems the receive coil must overcome in the process of coil design. At present, most of the multi-channel loops’decoupling is through coils overlapped or capacitor decoupling method. However, in the process of most coil designs, the couple between the coils isn’t simulated, which can’t assess the quality of the coils in advance, causing the waste of time and cost.We will introduce a kind of simulation method used to eliminate the coupling between the coils. In the process of coil design, the electromagnetic field and S-parameter, with the coupling effect between the channels, will be calculated through electromagnetic field and circuit simulation software. Under the foundations, we simulated the couple between the adjacent coils and obtain the coil’s relative position with the smallest couple whose effects can be neglected on the basis of overlapping decoupling principle. For the two sides of the coils must avoid the fixed bracket, which means they can’t overlap each other in the structure, the couple between the channels can’t be eliminated by overlapping decoupling method. The coupling between the two sides of the coils, therefore, will use capacitance decoupling and preamplifier decoupling method for further optimization in the actual debugging process.
