VQ gene is a kind of protein which was only found in plant and coded by Valin and Glitamin. This kind of protein all had a conserved motif:FxxxVQxxLTG(x can be any kinds of amino acid). Recent studies had shown that there are 34 VQ gene family members had been identified in Arabidopsis thaliana. What’s more, these protein can coreaction with WRKY transcription factors through recognize the C-terminal of the WRKY transcription factors so that have a effect on plant growth, seed development and response to the stress. It has already identified 39 VQ gene family members in Oryza sativa japonica and also found many of them more or less response to the effection of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. Oryzae, ABA treatment and drought stress. As the most widely planted in southern China and the background of hybrid rice, Oryza sativa indica has differences to the resistant to the biotic and abiotic stress compared with the Oryza sativa japonica. In order to collect the imformation of VQ gene family members and do some research to the process of the VQ gene take part in response to the biotic and abiotic stress in Oryza sativa indica, this research has finally identified 42 VQ gene family members throuth search and compare the database. We found that some of the VQ gene can not match strictly to the VQ motif through analysis the VQ gene members and we also amended the VQ motif to " FxxxV (H/Q) x(I/F/V/L)TG" (x can be any amino as id). Phylogenetic analysis showed that VQ motif has highly homology in the evolution.And then wo use online tools to analysis the 42 members’ physicochemical property and also we predicted the secondary structure of the members in Oryza sativa indica. We construct the map of secondary structure and predict the protein’s functional domain further. Based on the result of the bioinformatics analysis,we cloned OsVQ6、OsVQ7、OsVQ25、OsVQ66 gene in Oryza sativa indica,these gene may take part in the process of the response to the biotic and abiotic stress.Also we constructed the OsVQ6、OsVQ7、OsVQ25、OsVQ66 overexpress vectors which was drived by CaMV 35S. We also obtained the transgenic Arabidopsis by Agrobacterium tumefaciens, and we gained the OsVQ6 positive transgenic plants through PCR identification and Resistance screening...
