Land use change is of an important content of the global land surface, which can help us understand land use dynamic change process and the laws of the people on the land use change research. For the future development it provides land use management and it also provides a strong basis for policy formulation. This paper obtain the land-use type information by using the supervised classification and information extraction technology which based on the remote sensing image in 1990, 2000 and 2010. Through the NDWI compared with MNDWI extraction effect, selected the NDWI as waters extraction model method, the extraction accuracy up to 83%. The information of urban communities and rural residential areas are extracted by extraction model which using spectrum between relations, the extraction accuracy up to 83% and 77%,then get the working condition of urban residential areas, rural residential areas, and other construction land by visual changing. For single phase of remote sensing data in the aspect of forest land, cultivated land, grassland information acquisition, discussed the classification access methods based on the characteristic difference of forest land, cultivated land, grassland information.Through the study found that remote sensing image in November combined LBV image transform method for classification of land, shrub land, open woodland has a good effect, classification accuracy is above 84%, 76% and 80% respectively; Remote sensing image in April combined with principal component transformation for paddy field, dry land, grassland classification effect is good, classification accuracy reached85%, 80% and 80% respectively. Results after verification accuracy, more than 90.6%accuracy.According to the obtained data of land use types in each year combined with slope, elevation date, the distribution characteristics of Puding county land use types were analyzed. Discussed the landscape spatial pattern of land use status and change process in 1990, 2000 and 2010 of Puding county by using the landscape pattern, then reveal the relationship between man and nature. Analyzed the rule of land-use change process and explored the driving force factors of the process of changing the study area from 1990 to 2010 by using the transfer matrix of land use, the local economic development data, the significant factors related to the project. Analysis results show that the Karst landform feature in terrain factors and social、economic development 、national policy in human factors which impact on land use distribution and change rule is the largest. The paper according to the analysis results, combined with the local natural environment conditions and people’s life mode of production, put forward corresponding suggestions for optimizing land use types in Puding county.
