Located in the Middle-East of the Tethys-Himalayan tectonic belt, the Zhegu-Gudui area in Tibet lies between Yarlung Zangbo Suture Zone (YS) and Southern Tibet Detachment System (STDS) and belongs to Jiangzi—Longzi Au—Sb polymetallic metallogenic belt. The mineralization geological setting and geological characteristics are unique in the area and show great potential for ore prospecting. However, the area is poorly studied and lack of the research on the metallogenic geological environment and prospecting potential except Zhaxikang, Mazhala and Chalapu deposits, which has been studied deeply. This work was focus on the 1:50000 geochemical data and determined 14 prospecting targets by the analysis of geochemical data. With the integrated use of geological, geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing and mining data, the author analyzed the ore—forming geological environment and exploration prospecting of this area.Through the analysis of 12 maps of 1:50 000 stream sediment survey data, we confirmed the threshold and 618 single element anomaly,76 combination anomaly and 55 comprehensive anomaly. The combination anomaly was determined by cluster analysis and divided into 4 elements groups:(1) Au, As, Sb, Hg;(2) Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu;(3) TFe, Ti, Co, Cr;(4) W, Sn, Bi, Mo. In addition, the author made an assessment and classification to the comprehensive anomaly:class A,3; class B,24; class C,28. Then the comprehensive anomaly was ranged. According to the result of it and geological and mineral information, we evaluated the Zhuomuri, Bangzhuoma, Xiangri, Gudui, Mazhala and Zhaxikang’s comprehensive anomaly. Finally, By analyzing the metallogenic conditions from the aspects of regional ore—controlling conditions and prospecting criteria in the area, the metallogenic regularity and prospecting mode in this area were preliminary concluded. With the help of geology, geophysical information, geochemical information and remote sensing,8 level-V metallogenic prospective areas were determined, including class A,6; Class B,2. Combined with the actual work, the author launched a focused inspection on Bangzhuoma prospecting targets, which has favorable conditions for mineralization, by soil geochemical profiling, geophysical prospecting,1:10000 geological mapping, trenching and drilling. The scale of ore body was expanded and the amount of mineral resources was increased, which verified the reliability and guidance of the prospecting area.
