Egg becomes one of the essential foods with high nutritional value in daily life, and egg production of our country has been dominating the world for many years. However, eggs are easily damaged in the process of production, processing and transportation. The broken eggs will lose the edible value, causing huge economic losses. Therefore, it becomes the subject of how to reduce breakage of eggshells. Home and abroad research mainly focus on egg’s static characteristics, collision and dropping test research. Damage mechanism and dynamic response analysis on eggs is less, and the finite-element analysis for mechanical properties of eggs is less. Numerical model does not consider the effect between eggshells and internal fluid coupling. Therefore, it’s necessary to make the finite element analysis on the egg drop impact fluid-structure interaction system.This topic researched egg drop dynamics based on the fluid-structure interaction method. First, the egg drop impact experiment is finished. Through TP3 system which is produced by Lansmont Corporation, the acceleration of the egg drop impact in the process is collected. According to the breakage of the eggs in different height fall, each cushion material of eggs under critical damage height is identified and the impact peak of the eggs fall under the height of the critical damage is analyzed; then different cushioning properties of the cushion material in the same drop height is analyzed, and the impact acceleration-time curve in the drop process is got.Second, it created a finite element model of the egg fluid-structure interaction system. Through 3d scanning system, eggs models is established, and through ADINA software, based on the theory of ALE, the model of the structure and fluid are established respectively, using Structure and CFD module. Through FSI module, fluid-structure interaction condition is analyzed, and the process of egg drop impact is simulated. Then compared with the experimental results, through the shock acceleration-time curve which is got, validation of the model is completed. The stress cloud under different conditions is extracted at last.This article got the impact peak which caused egg broken, obtained buffer performance of the different materials. The egg drop shock fluid-structure interaction system is established, then it is compared with the experiment, the correctness of the model is verified. The research provides a certain theoretical reference for egg production and processing equipment design, also reduces egg breakage, and improves economic efficiency.
