With the rapid development of economy, the city scale is gradually expanding, the population of the cityis alsogetting intensively. The earthquake and its secondary disasters to the city have been getting fiercer. Therefore, the evaluation of seismic active fault detection and seismic hazard in urban areas is particularly important. This paper systematically carried out the mechanism of typical soil layers overlying role in different fault when the basic failure process and research on the corresponding phenomenon. The relationship between the magnitude and the fracture parameters of the earthquake data were collected by the construction of the similar tectonic conditions; The real data of the 3D stratum model helps when analyzing the different position and depth of soil, different surface elevation data of the surface displacement and deformation effect. After analyzing the methods which is used in study of the impact of active faultsin the previous research.Collect and summarize the theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, experimental research and field survey method, then propose a method with the combinationof theoreticalanalysis and numerical simulation:Inplace the numerical simulation method of take rock and soil simulated as a whole, we will separate the rock stratum from soil layer. Then receive the displacement on the surface of the rock stratum by method of Okada and get the displacement on the surface of soil by the finite element method. In the process of modeling, the modeling theory of BIM is introduced in this paper, the terrain model data is collected by Arcgis, through geological modeling software Gocadwe will establish geological model of soil, then import it to Abaqus by its Secondary development platform. We will combinea project named as "Target City Active FaultDetection and Seismic Risk Evaluation",Base on the analysis of the proposed method, the paper chooses the research city, comprehensive geological and geophysical survey data,we will build three-dimensional active fault model of the target area and carry out the quantitative research.By comparing with the construction method, the correctness of the proposed method in this paper is verified, and the results are in accord with the actual situation. The result of the analysis indicates the magnitude of the width and the deformation of the seismic fortification zone in the target area. The influence of geological parameters such as the thickness of the overlying soil and the parameters of the fault on the surface displacement and deformation is quantified, The influence of the surface deformation depth and dip angle is bigger than other parameters.
