Ni is one of the important nuclear structure materials. Neutron nuclear data have important implications for the development of nuclear energy and nuclear projects. 58Ni is the most abundant isotope in natural Ni. So the nuclear reaction data of 58Ni has important applications. At present, the experimental nuclear reaction data could not meet the actual needs. Some of the reaction channel have much experimental data, but some other reaction channel have little or no experimental data, so we need to calculate them. Moreover, in recent years, along with the addition of new experimental data, we need to do the evaluation of 58Ni nuclear data again, to give more reasonable recommendation data. So the nuclear reaction data of 58Ni evaluation have great significance.Based on the evaluated experimental data of the total cross sections and the elastic scattering angular distribution of 58Ni, we used codes APMN06、UNF、and DWUCK4 to calculate the complete sets of neutron nuclear data of 58Ni. The code APMN06 based on the optical model is used to automatically search for the optimal optical potential parameters. The code DWUCK4 based on the distorted wave Born approximation is used to calculate the direct inelastic scattering cross sections and the Legendre coefficients of their angular distributions. The output file of DWUCK4 is used as one of the input files of the code UNF. The kernel program for our calculation of the complete sets of nuclear data is UNF, which is based on the global optical model, the Hauser-Feshbach theory with width fluctuation corrections, the unified Hauser-Feshbach and exciton model. In this work, we calculate the complete sets of neutron nuclear data of 58Ni between 0 to 20 MeV including cross sections of(n,tot)、(n, el)、(n, γ)、(n, n’)、(n, p)、(n, α)、(n,3he)、(n, d)、(n, t)、(n,2n)、(n, np)、(n, nα)、(n, 2p)、(n, 3n) and the elastic scattering angular distribution. In comparison with the values derived from ENDF/B-VII.1 and JEFF-3.2,our calculated results are in better accordance with experimental data in some aspect. It provides reference for practical applications。This article presents the covariance matrix of 58Ni(n, p) and 58Ni(n, 2n). What we did provides the basis for the data of cross section values and covariance matrix of high reliability of 58Ni, which is the final recommendation.
