Because the sea clutter is widely used in radar target detection, remote sensing and communications, this paper analysis the shore-based sea clutter experimental data with target existing and without target under different sea condition and observing conditions. Sea spike events is studied and distinguished based on the experimental data. The two-dimensional dynamics sea clutter is simulated by physical optic method. The main achievements are as follows:1 Described several typical sea spectrum, by the combination of PM spectrum and Lonuet-Higgins directional distribution function to simulate 2D dynamic sea surface with using the linear superposition method. The result is given under different wind direction, frequency, polarization, incident angle by the statistic of the JOSS data and obtained the general law of backscatter coefficient. Described the statistical model of sea clutter amplitude distribution, and use the measured data to compare the K with KA distribution model.2 The characteristics of sea clutter amplitude, amplitude statistic distribution and Doppler spectrum are analyzed based on the experimental data of Canada shore-based IPIX high resolution radar under different parameters. The result of Doppler spectrum is given by comparing different polarization, wind speed and direction. Using the definition of sea spike to distinguish the sea spike with IPIX data and statistic the parameters and spectrum of sea spike. Study the sea spike events under different sea condition and obtain certain rules..3 Described the method of PO, the method of target modeling, data processing and screen judging are presented. Calculated the RCS of sea surface simulated by linear superposition method and the result are in good agreement with commercial software FEKO. Calculated the backscattering coefficient under different wind direction and polarization. Backscattering coefficient and scattering field time series are simulated and obtained the result of sea clutter amplitude distribution and spectrum.4 Based on the sea clutter data included target collected by X-band shore-based radar and South Africa radar data, obtained the sea clutter amplitude distribution and Doppler spectrum characteristics under different parameters. By comparing spectrum of different condition, obtained certain result. By comparing the statistic result of data with target and data without target by the method of sea spike distinction, a preliminary analysis of radar return signal and spike characteristic is presented.
