【Objective】With the suitable climatic conditions,mechanized production and scale of operation of chicory planting, Wujiaqu reclamation area of The sixth division of Xinjiang production and construction corps is tailored to provide good conditions for the planting and production of chicory However, due to the lack of scientific planning and technical countermeasures for stably-high output,the area has failed to achieve high reproductivity and a sustained high yield.Therefore, we shall make a research of zoning of chicory ecological conditions in order to make full use of natural resources and the yield potential of wujiaqu agricultural and mining land reclamation area. It can also promote the development of regionalization and industrialization of chicory production,and guide the sustainable development of wujiaqu chicory root production significantly.【Methods】Multi-point experiment was adopted in The eastern、central and western three biome five different farms(101 farm, Junhu farm, Hongqi farm, Fangcaohu farm, Qitai farm) of the sixth division of Xinjiang production and construction corps. The Cichorium intybus was planted with three different densities: 90000、120000、150000 plants/hm2. The sowing method consisted of film bunch planting in all cases. Rows were established in randomly chosen areas, repeated three times,and each areas occupied 3000 m2. Dry matter accumulation and yield of Cichorium intybus in different experiment farms were analyzed. In this way, water demand, fertilizer requirement, and pest control methods was quantified, and which of great significance for developing cultivation techniques of Cichorium intybus.【Results】In The eastern、central and western three biome of the sixth division of Xinjiang production and constructioncorps.chicory leaf number in the accumulated effective temperature of2306.7、2215.3、2863.3℃reached the max value,respectively 40.4、38.3、33.5 pieces;the accumulated effective temperature2702.7、2809.1、2863.6℃root fresh weight reached the max value,the maximum values were 587.5、366.7、359.2g/strain;Chicory root cap, in the accumulated effective temperature of 2791.8℃DEG Crespectively reached the maximum value,the maximum ratio of root to shoot in three ecological zones are respectively 1.62:1、1.03:1、1.05:1;12 million line/hm2 yield was 49234.2kg/hm2, the maximum output of up to 55335 kg/hm2 East inulin contentis one of the most important the index of quality of west area of chicory,inulin conten wasthehighest 90.79%, this experiment adopt water-saving dripirrig ation planting avoidthe Langen phenomen on caused by water, also, canuse the future planting furrowirrig ation orirrigation, toprevent flooding.Theemergenceof bolting phenomenon, the highest bolting rate11%, rosette late in time to harvest.During the whole growth period of almost no pests occur,can put the six Division as the planting base.【Conclusion】 The rate of leaf emergence in the dynamic change law of different ecological zones of consistent chicory leaves, with the days after germination was "S" shape a dynamic curve,considering the East, west line area, maximum leaf number, root fresh weight, root shoot ratio, theeastern area showed superiority of planting chicory. Chicory in soil and climate conditions in three ecological zones, were able to complete the process of growth and development of good, and can adapt to the general farming conditions and field management level, has the root shoot ratio, the nutrition is rich, the quality is good, the excellent characteristics of resistance no bugs. Variance analysis results showed that the yield and inulin content in three ecological regions did not show significant difference, planted in three ecological regions of Xinjiang regiment of the Sixth Division had no effect on the yield and quality of chicory. Chicory than planting sugar beet, cotton,corn and other feed field crops’ income 1406.2dol/hm2. So, the development of chicory root industry, foster chicory to six divisions adjustment of agricultural planting structure is very necessary and feasible.
