All kinds of buildings、structures、engineering subject destroyed by nature i s increasing, which is harm for people’s life and property safety. The use of c orresponding monitoring technology for forecasting warning has important signif icance for development of the national economy and social harmony.Based on advantages of GPS observation in settlement and deformation tech nology, it is widely used in actual engineering. One of the difficulties in GPS observation technology of carrier phase is ambiguity resolution, but cycle slips and satellite lock events often occur in observation environment. This commonp roblem has putted forward a new method of GPS observation, which called sin gle epoch ambiguity resolution for GPS. This paper focuses on the conventiona l method single epoch ambiguity resolution, and come up with a new methodf or single epoch ambiguity resolution with single and double frequency observat ion. Finally, the actual GPS data is taken as a case that the method in this pa per can satisfy the requirement of deformation and settlement. The principal res ults are as follows:(1)Discussing the observation and random equation of the single epoch deference pseudo range and carrier phase. Introducing the common four random equations in detail. Comparing and analyzing the application condition of vari ous random models;(2)Analysis the difference between normal method and two step’s mini mization method of collocation, understanding the advantage of two step’s mini mization. This method is applied to forecast satellite clock error in short-time prediction. Finally, two steps’ minimization is certified to improve the accuracy of thecollocation model in short-time prediction of satellite clock bias and can be also served as a new interpolation method by comparing with common alg orithmsof clock bias prediction and interpolation;(3)Introducing several methods of ambiguity resolution for dual-frequenc y GPS single-epoch, and compared with the realization processing of them in detail.Combining with the characteristics of dual-frequency observation, this pap er puts forward to a combing method for dual-frequency observation positionin g. itovercomes the influence of cycle slip、satellite lock、initialization long time.Finally, according to the data shows that the combination method has the feas ibility and applicability.(4)Considering the characteristic of the normal matrix for single epoch, to verify the essential reason of the single frequency single epoch. Tikhonov re gularize is used to transform the normal matrix from the rank-deficient matrix to the full rank one to obtain float ambiguity. The integer ambiguity is fixed a ccording to damped LAMBDA. The calculation results show that the method is efficient and practical in single epoch、single frequency.(5)According to the common mode error in the coordinate series, the p rincipal component analysis(PCA) was used to extract it in order to eliminate the station-related residual errors. Based on Welch method to calculate the ran ge ofperiod error with the method of PCA.
