Loess is mainly a kind of eolian sediments,widely distributed in Asia, Europe and North America.Because of special engineering properties, are classified as special soil type. The study of loess in China after the founding of the people mainly in. A large number of engineering activities started, makes the loess research has made considerable progress. Mainly research of loess from the structure, vertical joint, macrovoid, form the historical conditions and so on study, but, in the foreign research from geographical and environmental aspects.Study of orthostatic research data weather at home or abroad is less, this article mainly around orthostatic influence factors.In this paper through the read a large number of relevant literature, researching data and practical, field geological observation. Through the analysis of the sedimentary history and climate of the loess, joint fissure, pore and microstructure, cohesion, the matrix suction and salts on the influence factors of the loess orthostatic has carried on the comprehensive analysis.Focus on cohesion and the matrix suction influence on its orthostatic, through specific engineering slope, foundation pit, such as cavity instance analysis.Cohesion and matrix suction of loess orthostatic the influence, established by testing the change of cohesion and matrix suction, analysis the cohesion influence of changing matrix suction. By changing different matrix suction numerical, specific cohesion was obtained using numerical software FLAC3 D and richard is deep foundation pit respectively the numerical analysis of slope and caves, such as reaction the cohesion, the influence of matrix suction on the stability, indirect proof of its impact on orthostatic. Then comprehensive analysis of the loess orthostatic influence factors of internal and external cause, finally concluded the main factors that influence the control of orthostatic.Through the numerical analysis and calculation of the foundation pit slope and cavity, it is concluded that the cohesion and the matrix suction increase of foundation pit slope and the stability of cavern are beneficial, analysis different numerical change of cohesion and the matrix suction of displacement field, stress field numerical changes to reflect the influence of the size of the effect on the stability of the engineering activities.
