The demand of fuel is increasing greatly, with the development of economy. However,the widespread use of fossil fuel, such as coal and oil, had led to some complex environmental issues, for example, greenhouse effect and acid rain. To find out one alternative renewable energy resources has been the key factor for sustainable development.Microalgae are one kind of signle-celled algae, which could absorb CO2 and produce lots of biological oil during their autotroph. Producing biodiesel from microalgae would a good solution for green effect and energy shortage human beings met now. How to realize an efficient microalgae automatic culture device for industrial cases would be a critical problem for production biodiesel from microalgae.Control system for microalgae automatic culture device was discussed in this paper.Firstly, the background information of microalgae culture device and intelligent control algorithm was introduced. Secondly, to set the control targets and design principle, the key factors affecting microalgae’s autotroph were discussed.Then microalgae automatic culture device’s mechanical system, hardware system and software system were discussed specifically. Particularly worth mentioning is that two kinds of new intelligent temperature control algorithms for microalgae device were introduced in software system: Fuzzy-PID preduction control algorithm and chaotic PSO PID control algorithm. Those two algorithms were given in details about the design thought and implementation process. And the relevant simulation experiments show the good performance of those two algorithms in steady accuracy and adaptability.In the last, the result of laboratory cold model experiment was given. And the temperature test results were also provided in the paper. The microalgae automatic culture device and its intelligent control algorithms this paper introduced provided benefical discussion for microalgae’s production.
