HY-2 satellite achieves the continuous observation of the change of sea surface wind field, and it provides a large number of observed data for meteorology and marine scientific research. To obtain standardized reanalysis data, the regional fusion and integration of satellite data is an important way and a tendency to make full use of satellite data information. The Local Analysis and Prediction System (LAPS) is used in this study to assimilate the sea surface vector wind (SSW) data observed by HY-2 satellite.Through a multi-step data preprocessing procedure, the SSW of HY-2 was input into LAPS system. In order to effectively fuse the HY-2 satellite SSW data, the results of Inspection and statistical analysis show that, the Surface Data Ingest module of LAPS is required to input the SSW data, and the input channel is better than other ways.Raw data is preprocessed by several steps, including outliers elimination, satellite scanning grids numerical treatment, data smoothing etc. The preprocessing methods can amend the inherent bias and filter out the noise of raw data. Through analysis and verification, the results of cross-validation show that preprocessed data can effectively preserve the fine scale information of the raw data.LAPS is took to assimilate SSW through the Surface Data Ingest module to for analyses on the weather systems over the sea, such as typhoon, subtropical high, and convergence zone. The results show that, the LAPS fusion products can provide a more detailed and quantitative description for the meso-scale characteristic of sea surface wind field. Regional fusion of SSW in LAPS improves the coverage of HY-2 satellite in spatial and temporal variabilities, and provides a conference for the spatial and temporal evolution of weather system. The format of LAPS output data is more suitable for marine forecasting and research, and the data provides a field that can be used to calculate physical diagnosis in standard regional zone, satisfies the requirements of analysis and study. The LAPS fusion products not only can be used in various numerical analyses and diagnoses on the weather systems over the sea, such as typhoon, subtropical high, and convergence zone, but also provide a description for the spatial and temporal features of meso-scale systems in large scale circulation background above the sea surface, and a basis of timely taking full advantage of data information observed by HY-2 satellite.
