Neutral delay differential equations(NDDEs) have been widely used in many science and technology fields. It is significant to investigate the theory and application of numerical methods for NDDEs. Because of the complexity of the problem, there are a few paper deal with the algorithm theory for NDDEs, and mostly for the amount of delay in delay term is equal to that in neutral term. However, these two quantities aren’t equal in many practical problems. In view of this situation, the present paper studies the numerical stability of general linear methods for a class of NDDEs. The numerical stability results are obtained. Numerical experiments are given to confirm the theoretical results.
