Composite material consisted of higher specific strength, specific modulus, material designability and thermal stability, is widely used in aviation, chemicalindustry, construction and other fields. Its research subject is also deeplyconcerned by scholars. Because of the different angle and the method to dealwith problems, so the final results have certain differences. Based on this, several jobs are investigated in the following:1. The research status of dynamic buckling of composite cylindrical shellare introduced, and the latest research results and the method of buckling isanalyzed. This paper expounds the simulation status of finite element analysis ofcylindrical shell structure.2. The theoretical analysis and computer simulation of dynamic buckling ofmetal cylindrical shell under axial step load based on the ritz method was carried.Adoptting the Donnell shell theory, according to the Hamilton variational principle the control equation of dynamic buckling of cylindrical shells isdeduced. Considering the effect of stress wave on the shell, by the nature of thetrigonometric functions and properties of the solutions of equations the modalfunction expression was given accordance with two kinds of boundaryconditions and the conditions of the wavefront. According to n double Angleformula received from De Moivre, the trigonometric functions of controlequation were simplified, before the wave reflection when cylindrical shellbuckling happened. Solving the critical load expression of cylindrical shellbuckling, analysing the effect of shear on the number of the load and therelationship between critical load and critical length of different thickness ofcylindrical shell were investigated. The paper reveals that through the computersimulation under different thickness and boundary conditions, the differencebetween the simulation value and the theoretical value is less than the allowedrange5%.3. By introducing the composite to the control equation derived and usingthe ritz method givenl the concrete expression of the critical buckling loadof composite materia, and the effect of diameter-thick ratio and the Angle oflayer on the load is analyzed.4.The computer simulations of the dynamic buckling on cyclindrical shellsubjected to pulse load was carried out by ABAQUS/Expliect. The value of therectangle and triangle pulse load is the same and the shape is different, and theyare applied on the impact end of the cyclindrical shell. It is discussed about the impact of the load size态the shape of load and load duration on the criticalbuckling time of cylindrical shell. The radial displacement curve was obtainedwhich indicates that stress wave propagate along the length of the cylindricalshells, and the curve of strain time history is also acquired which is used tojudge bifurcation and give the critical time.
