The weather forecast is an important research issues of common concern in the meteorological industry. In the past forecast, the most temporary forecast technology is based on the weather observation data, with the continuous improvement of the meteorological data acquisition means and computer signal processing ability, as well as the rapid development of modern information technology, The contradiction between the higher data information processing requirements and weather forecast aging are more and more bigger. The climate characteristics of the forest region are very random, and the previous forest forecast system can not provide the required information for the forest area forecast because of the limited processing power. Based on the research results of weather forecast system both domestic and foreign, this paper contacts the meteorological environment of forest region and establishes the short-term weather forecast system of forest region.Using data warehouse technology to realize data storage, improve the query speed and provide data base for weather forecast. Then, analysis data and process algorithm, compare the minimum absolute error regression with stepwise regression from the theory and carry on the correlation calculation by using historical materials and meteorological data of meteorological station, analyses rainfall sample systematically. The results of calculation and analysis show the minimum absolute error regression has better prediction ability. Finally, establish the forecasting model of regression algorithm based on minimum error absolute value, design and develop the system for short-term weather forecast. The utilization of this system can make the meteorological forecast of the forest region more timely and more efficient, and has very positive significance for the short-term weather forecast of the forest region.
