An overview of the troposphere Terahertz-band millimeter wave scattering characteristics and research status are provided. Scattering characteristics of atmospheric aerosols and ice-water two-phase particles are studied. Based on Lorenz-Mie scattering theory, Aden-KerKer scattering theory and experimental data of electromagnetic wave propagation in the aerosol at home and abroad,atmospheric aerosol particles and ice-water two-phaseparticle complex refractive index are calculated. Based on the matlab modeling, characters of atmospheric aerosol and ice-water two-phase particle scattering are given. Simulation of four particles scattering power in Terahertz, the ranking is bituminous coal, sand and dust particles, water soluble particles, maritime particles; The effect of particle size parameters on the scattering characteristics is obvious. With the scale parameter of particle increasing, the scattering intensity in terahertz gradually becomes higher, scattered light becomes gradually focusing on the smaller angle forward.Secondly, scattering cross section of ice water two-phase particles in the transmission window of millimeter wave (34GHz,94GHz,140GHz,220GHz) and the effect of duty ratio of air bubble to differential scattering cross section are studied. Ice covering water polo that has some reference value to high altitude Cirrus clouds and precipitation clouds studies is given. The relationship between water bubble scattering coefficient and radius inside and outside is also given. Through comparing with the findings of Gao Taichang, GHong and others scholar, the computational modeling in this article is proved to be reliable. Mathematical derivation and program correctness are proved to be right to some extent. The algorithm can also be used to the scattering properties research of ice-water two-phase particle and aerosol particles.
