Lacerta agilis is the type species in Lacerta, and Lacerta is the type genus in Lacertidae. Roosting at high latitude and cold climate, Lacerta agilis is a good experimental material for studying oviparous pattern in cold climatic environment. In this study, we use the combining field and laboratory method to research how Lacerta agilis adapt to the environment. The main resesrch contents include: Reproductive characteristics of Lacerta agilis, Sexual dimorphism in hatchling of Lacerta agilis, Effect of temperature on Lacerta agilis eggs hatch and hatchling and many times propagation of Lacerta agilis in laboratory condition.Under the laboratory simulation habitat recording maternal reproductive output(Including clutch size, clutch weight, egg weight.etc). Setting three constant temperatures(25℃, 30℃, 35℃) to analysis the effect of temperature on Lacerta agilis eggs hatch and hatchling, Measuring body data to analysis the sexual dimorphism in hatchling of Lacerta agilis. Main conclusions were summarized as the following:Maternal clutch size of Lacerta agilis is 2-12, clutch weight is 1.50-7.16 g, clutch size, clutch weight had significant positive correlation with the SVL of maternal.Sexual dimorphism of hatchling of Lacerta agilis are the type of female equivalent of male. There were no significant differences in body color, sports ability, SVL, AL, TL.etc in female and male of newborn and 2 months old hatchling.Temperature effected Lacerta agilis eggs hatch, Hatching success 30℃>25℃>35℃, 25℃, 30℃, 35℃, the average incubation period of three temperatures were 37.20± 1.09 d, 29.08 ± 0.93 d, 24.75 ± 2.06 d. There were no significant difference in newborn and 2 months old hatchling. Hatchlings pause times(F2,21=0.02, p=0.98), maximum sprint distance(F2,21=0.64, p=0.54), maximum sprint speed(F2,21=2.69, p=0.09) had no significant difference. 2 months old hatchling maximum sprint distance(F2,17=0.26, p=0.77) and maximum sprint speed(F2,17=3.24, p=0.07) had no significant difference, but there was significant difference in pause times(F2,17=6.05, p=0.01). The results show that 30℃ is Lacerta agilis hatch of the optimum temperature.In laboratory condition, Lacerta agilis can have many times propagation, some female can reproducing twice a year, a few female can reproducing three times. Most of females would have second propagation at 6-7 months after first propagation. Maternal clutch size of second propagation of Lacerta agilis is 4-6, clutch weight is 3.41-5.30 g, clutch size, clutch weight had no significant positive correlation with the SVL of maternal. Hatching success of eggs of many times propagation of Lacerta agilis in 25-35℃ is 0.
