Sea ice simulation occupies a vital position in ocean observation. As a member of the global sea-air system, sea ice and their interaction have a large influence on the people’s sea activities, including maritime transport, marine fishery, marine oil and gas resources and so on. For the simulation of sea ice, the implementation of visualize the large-scale data that reduced by computing is a vital link. Only if to show the computing data after getting the data can the researchers judge the sea ice’s movement situation, can we forecast its movements and the regions it will affect, and warn the fishing and the ship’s navigation line for avoiding huge economic losses. This article is to describe the problem and corresponding countermeasures in the research of implementation of the data visualization, in order a better study of sea ice.According to the various model units used in ocean observation, this article designs and implements a sea ice collision simulation system based on realities of situation. In the Pre-process interface of the software system implemented in this paper, define different sea ice constructions according different property, and define different structural model according different sea platform structures, then the system simulates the corresponding working sketches, so researchers can judge the degree of coincidence between the properties defined above and the reality, and then make a timely modification. After that, it begin to calculate discrete particles of large-scale sea ice and sea platform constructions using the high performance GPU calculating program, and then launch the Post-process module to show the data after finishing the calculating program to begin a further study according the sea ice’s movements. While the GPU program is working, it realized the purpose of showing the results timely by process communication, allowing researcher to observe the results in advance. And the introduction of the RAMDISK technology makes the process of real-time display more fluent.Researchers can do sea ice modeling simpler and more intuitive based on the system introduced in this article. According to the design of sea ice and ocean platform aimed at the realities of situation, researchers can define parameters more precise, to guarantee the rationalization of the after calculation, making the simulation process be more closed to the actual situation. Researchers analyze the sea ice’s movement and the collision situation of sea ice and offshore platform structure, to realize the purpose of the detection of sea ice.
