Metamaterial is defined as the artificial composed structure with some abnormal physical properties that cannot be found in natural materials. The metamaterial to achieve concealment of object hidden in cloak has the function to deflect the rays that would have struck the object, guide them around the object and return them to their original trajectory. The design of invisible cloak is based on this principle and takes advantage of Transformation Optics as a theory tool. This thesis studies on the design and optimization of invisible cloaks, and its contents mainly include:1. Deeply analyze the theory of Transformation Optics. Introduce the detailed principle of Transformation optics in orthogonal coordinate system. Provide the derivation of the parameters of square invisible cloak to lay a foundation for further design and optimization of invisible cloaks.2. A conception of2D assembled invisible cloak has been proposed and demonstrated to decrease the calculation complexity and to improve the realistic feasibility. Derivations and simulations have been executed to prove the rationality and feasibility of2D assembled invisible cloak.3. The conception of assemble cloak has been extended to3D space. As the calculation procedure in3D space is complex, simplification is the key issue to the design of3D invisible cloak. In addition,3D invisible cloak has enclosed structure, so the realization of partition and matching is essential. A3D spherical assembled invisible cloak has been studied by designing parameters and analyzing properties to prove its rationality in preliminary.
