Landslide is the bad geological phenomenon in a certain natural conditions ofsliding down the slope, because of the influence of river erosion, artificial slopecutting and groundwater activity or earthquakes and other factors, so that part of rockand soil under the action of gravity, along with the weak surface or weak zone as awhole, slow, intermittent or even sudden downward slide. As a kind of seriousgeological disaster, landslides often cause great harm such as interrupt the traffic, occupation of the rivers, destroy factories, burying villages and towns. It hascharacteristics such as widely distributed, occurred frequently, complex condition, effect of many factors, and the occurrence and movement mechanism of diversity, variability and complexity makes prediction difficult and governance is expensive. Sothe landslide problem is always one of the geological and engineering problems tostudy in china. The main reasons of cause the landslide factors is rainfall, earthquake andartificial factors, and the rainfall induced landslide is the most common, the greatestharm. In this paper, taking the Three Gorges Reservoir area of Wanzhou North Gardenlandslide as an example, collection and analysis of meteorological and hydrologicaldata, displacement monitoring, numerical modeling of the landslide area, carried outRainfall type landslide river drainage retaining design research. The main researchwork and results are as follows:[1] Introduces the Three Gorges Reservoir area of Wanzhou North Gardenlandslide area landform, climate and hydrology, formation lithology, geologicalstructures scientific, contrast and analysis the rainfall condition and landslidedisplacement level of landslide area.[2] Begin the laboratory test by using landslide zone soil, experiments mainlyinclude: compaction test, quick direct shear test, consolidation test. The test resultshows: with the increase of moisture content, soil cohesion values increased after thefirst downward trend. With the increasing of water content, the soil enhancedplasticity, plasticity index decreasing, the angle of internal friction will also becomesmaller. The compression coefficient of soil increases along with the increase of soil water content. Compression modulus will increase with the decrease of soil watercontent.[3] Numerical simulation analysis by finite element software Plaxis. Inconsidering rainfall condition, with the increase of rainfall, the soil saturation willbecome larger, the horizontal displacement of landslide will also increase and thelandslide stability coefficient will be reduced accordingly. After Anti slide pile forretaining, the stability coefficient of landslide body was increased.[4] The calculated results by numerical modeling analysis and combined with theactual geological conditions of the landslide area, reasonable design of drainage ditchand anti slide pile.
