With the rapid development of power electronics technology, the impact of non-linear loads on the power system is also more and more serious. Non-linear loads draw current from the grid, seriously affected the normal operation of power systems and power quality caused by pollution, and therefore the study of power system harmonics desperately needed. Harmonic foundation and starting point for the study is harmonic detection in power system harmonic detection for the analysis also receive attention.Article on the basic theory of harmonic detail exposition,including the basic concepts of harmonic impact on power system harmonic power quality, and to analyze the traditional harmonic detection method; then wavelet transform theory is discussed, the detailed description of the continuous wavelet transform and inverse transform, discrete wavelet transform and inverse transform and wavelet function, focusing on the reconstruction of the wavelet decomposition method; followed wavelet transform analysis and fast Fourier transform (FFT) in the Comparative analysis on the frequency characteristics in the MATLAB simulation software application for both transform harmonic detection in the simulation results and analysis.Finally, the DSP Builder implements effective connection MATLAB and FPGA, the results show that you can take advantage of fast and flexible simulation capabilities Simulink and Matlab powerful data analysis capabilities by converting FPGA DSP Builder module of the system-level simulation, the results show that this approach the link could save harmonic detection based on wavelet transform in a lot of time and effort and achieve harmonic detection expectations; also showed FPGA implementation of power system harmonics detection system based on wavelet transform has better timeliness.
