Due to its unique properties of self-reconstruction and curved trajectory, Airy beam has attracted the attention of many researchers. In just a few years, the Airy beam has been applied to many fields, ranging from plasma and optical manipulation in the field of optics to electron beam and other interdisciplinary field. Considering its high value, different methods for the generation of airy beam have also been deeply studied and the improved version of the Airy beam has come up. In this thesis, we used phase mask to the successful realization of the Airy beam optical trapping, and proposed the improved array Airy beam. In this thesis, the main work is divided into the following two points:(1) We improved the optical tweezers system for Airy beam system by, replace the spatial light modulator with the cubic phase mask manufactured by laser direct writing instrument. Experimental results showed that the cubic phase mask has higher energy conversion efficiency and power damage threshold than the spatial light modulator. It could be easily installed and removed, while reduces the space required by the experimental system. With the help of Airy beam generated by cubic phase mask, we have successfully realized the optical trapping.(2) In order to overcome the defects on the of Airy beam in the application of optical tweezers, for instance, the unbalanced energy distribution and asymmetric shape of Airy beam, we improved the original Airy beam and proposed a new type of beam----array airy beam. The feasibility of this array Airy beam was demonstrated both in theoretically and experimentally through Poynting vector explanation and detailed experimental results. To make it easier to realize in optical tweezers applications, we have adopted a phase mask produced by laser direct writing instrument, which has higher efficiency than the approach with spatial light modulator. The optical trapping ability of this array Airy beam has also been proved in this thesis.
