This article chooses MATLAB as system development platform, to write a set of fatigue toolbox. And make it applies to do fatigue life prediction on key components for engineering and technical personnel, and research workers also applies it as the platform of doing research on fatigue theories. Also, this paper is the research content of National Natural Science Foundation of China, so the development of fatigue toolbox based on MATLAB has important theoretical and practical value.First of all, make functional analysis of the fatigue toolbox, to determine functional modules of the toolbox and the son function of each function module; Second, to analyse the fitting process of fatigue performance parameters, and gives the data fitting process of various fatigue test curve, such as S-N curve, ε-N curve, cyclic σ-ε curve, and so on; Third, for the load-time history, considering the handling and counting of the random load, make up spectrum process, and the program bring about the extraction of the peak value, the removal of the small load, rain flow count, the drawing up of load spectrum, etc.; Fourth, on the basis of the nominal stress method and the corresponding fatigue accumulating damage theory, considering the mean stress, stress concentration, the surface state and other factors, to achieve the life prediction of high cycle fatigue; Fifth, on the basis of the local stress-strain, realizing the deterministic process of local stress-strain in Neuber method, considering the mean stress and other factors to realize the life prediction process for the low cycle fatigue; Finally, based on the GUI programming in MATLAB environment, to achieve the fatigue curve fitting, random load processing, count and make up spectrum, the life prediction of nominal stress method and local stress-strain and other function modules. This fatigue toolbox has strong commonality and expansibility.
