Thin walled cylindrical shell is one kind of the important structure, which is widely used in engineering. The thin-walled cylindrical shell is always under complex loading, so a lot of scholars study on vibration characteristics of thin-walled cylindrical shell component to avoid or reduce the vibration response. For large size, high machining precision and complicated machining process thin-walled cylindrical shell, mostly were studied by analytical methods and simulation methods so far, But these two methods have their own inevitable shortcomings, because a large number of tests are impossible. Therefore, we can perform an experiment to predict vibration characteristics of prototype components. Not only reduce the consumables and decrease the difficulty of machining process and simplify the experiment process, reduce the experimental period, but also promote the development of the kinetics study of thin-walled cylindrical shell.According to dynamics of thin-walled cylindrical shell components similar problem, in this paper, using the equational analysis to solve the problem, according to the vibration of the thin wall cylindrical shell harmonious response displacement equation, the differential equation is deduced thin-walled cylindrical shell complete similarity relation of the natural frequency and vibration response and incomplete similarity relation. This article main research content is as follows:This paper first introduces the dynamic similarity of thin-walled cylindrical shell research background, then foreign development present situation. Discusses the significance and research status of cylindrical shell distortion model.According to Love’s shell theory, this paper deduce the vibration equation of thin wall cylindrical shell and response displacement equation. Based on equation analysis theory, Acquires the natural frequency and vibration response of the thin-wall cylindrical shell completely similarity relation. Acquires the inherent frequency of incomplete similarity relation with using the method of transition model to simplify the calculation process. Acquires the vibration response of the incomplete similarity relation with using geometric mean correction method. Finally, with the aid of Matlab and Ansys simulation to verify the exactness of the similarity relation and the feasibility of completely similar model experiment. Model experiment was carried out to verify the exactness and feasibility of the similarity relation.
