Computational thinking is a research hotspot in the field of computer education,presented since2006, received a great deal of attention at home and abroad. It usesheuristic reasoning to simplify complex issues, can be used as a basic skill, can alsorepresent a universal attitude, a way of thinking of the information age should have.This paper processing seismic data in the calculation, interpretation ofcomputational thinking in the knowledge system simulation, simulation, data storage,and automation.First, simulation and simulation-based thinking, the choice of field seismicobservation system theoretical studies and simulation, and design a program toachieve its algorithm and achieved good results.Secondly, the use of computer storage and database technology, seismicexploration data storage made another effective attempt to demonstrate the feasibilityof database technology in seismic exploration data storage.Finally, the process by conventional seismic data processing calculation revealsthe automated process of thinking, on the basis of theoretical research on the design ofdata processing program modules, such as the extraction gathers, velocity analysis,NMO correction, horizontal stacking, overlay and dip scanning tilt NMOsuperposition. And use these modules to automate processing, to achieve bettertheoretical and practical data processing results, to better reflect the automatedcomputational thinking ideas. In the data processing of seismic data, the theoreticalknowledge through research related to seismic data processing, the use of layersstacked into the way, from simple to complex, from the basic to complete theobjectives and tasks to complete the objectives and tasks of high quality, designedautomatic seismic data processing module. Modules are based on theory andalgorithm research on the use of C++programming language to implement all of thecode, and the use of written procedures for the automated processing of theoreticaland practical information, access to relevant treatment outcomes.By combining computational thinking and seismic data processing, and theresults obtained from the research point of view, the method discussed and designprogram module is feasible, reveals the real meaning of computational thinking.
