As a novel stealth technology in theory, the plasma stealth has a high value for application, especially in military and in technology. The basic principle of the stealth is the plasma slab has the property of the reflecting, refracting, absorbing electromagnetic waves, heavily attenuates energy of electromagnetic waves and changes the phase angle of the electromagnetic waves spreading, and then achieves stealthy aim. Plasma density and plasma collision frequency are the important factors that affect attenuation of electronmagnetic wave by plasma.Based on the fundamental theory of the interaction of plasma and electromagnetic waves, a simulation software which can be used to study the scattering of metal target with heterogeneous plasma is designed and developed. In this software, we use many important technologies of windows application software development, which including in hybrid programming technology of VC and Fortran, thread synchronization technology, dynamic link library technology and OpenGL technology. Then use the software to simulate the radar cross section of dielectric sphere and metal target with heterogeneous plasma numerically. Numerical simulation show that the software has a good accuracy. Results of analysis point to the conclusion that the plasma electric characteristic parameters(plasma density distribution and collision frequency) have influence on the target radar cross section.
