Our country is a populous country with a population of numerous and population information related to complex and tedious, so need to establish a perfect population information management system, the population of a region information for unified management.However, exist in the traditional population information manageme nt system and user interaction ability is poor, low degree of visualization, the imperfec t io n of the prediction problem.For this kind of situation, the author based on GIS and BP neural network, a population forecast and the information management system is developed.First, studies the related theory, the BP neural network and the BP neural network algorithm in the number of iterations, convergence speed and calculation precision aspects has carried on the comprehensive improvement, in order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of population prediction;Secondly, according to the related concepts of population forecast and the relevant requirements of informa t io n management system, in Windows.NET Framework, AE and SQL2012 environme nt, using c # language, design the overall Framework of the population forecast information management system, build the system database and function modules of the system;Finally, the BP neural network prediction module is embedded into the population forecast and information management system, and each functional module of the system development and implementation.System is now in the trait of guizhou buyi and miao autonomous prefecture of libo county has carried on the application, the application results show that the combination of GIS and BP neural network is developed population forecast and information management system, not only improve the degree of visualization and the ability to interact with the user, also improve the efficiency and precision of the population forecast, has reached the design requirements.
