Wuxu ore field is located in the southeastern part of Danchi metallogenic belt, which is in the northwest of Guangxi. It is a polymetallic ore field mainly with a series of low-medium temperature metallogenic elements such as lead, zinc, antimony, silver, mercury and arsenic. There are some main deposits (ore spots) in this area, such as polymetallic deposit Jianzhupo lead-zinc-antimony (large scale), Sanpaidong, Tangzhi-Poping and Furongchang lead-zinc-antimony polymetallic deposits (medium scale), Shuiluo arsenic-molybdenum-mercury polymetallic deposit (medium scale), Bawang antimony ore spot and Qiaodeng-Jiuwa mercury spot among others.This paper mainly focus on the following aspects, including:ore field structure, mineralogical features, fluid inclusions and deposit geochemical in Wuxu ore field. Based on those aspects, it has been summarized onmetallogenic zoning characteristics and has been proposed main direction for finding ore.(1) The NNW trend Wuxu anticline and NNW trend fault are the main structures in this ore field.Wuxu anticline is amultiple short axisanticline which has one axis face the direction of NNW, consisting of two secondary asymmetry anticlines with gentle of east wing (20~50°) and steep of west wing (60~85°). Along with the axis, it is a "S" curve turning and NW trend.The NNW trend fault is the main fault of this field, also is main ore-controlling structure. There are two period activities of the fault, extrusion with clockwise (right) twist is mainly in early period, while extension with counterclockwise (left) twist is in late period. As the fault activities strongly in early period and the structure activities stacking locally in late period, so the characteristics of compression and scissor have been existed.(2) Through the study of mineralogy characteristics, fluid inclusions and the element geochemical characteristics of different deposits in Wuxu ore field, the change regulation of mineral assemblage, mineral color, metallogenic elements distribution characteristics and metallogenic temperature have been found out. In addition, it can be divided into three zonary metallogenic belts in a plane, involving the medium-low temperature of metallogenic belt (â… ), the mesothermal temperature of metallogenic belt (â…¡) and the medium-high temperature of metallogenic belt (â…¢).The particle size of sphalerite and stibnite is getting big and the color of sphalerite is getting dark with â… â†'â…¡â†'â…¢ metallogenic belt. The metallogenic temperature changes regularly from low to high (145~249℃â†'220~265℃â†'245~322℃). In addition, the ratio of (Hg+As)/(Zn+Pb) and (Hg+As)/Zn is gradually decrease dramatically, it means that the metallogenic elementof low temperature is gradually decreased while the metallogenic element of high temperatureis gradually increased.(3) According to metallogenic zoning characteristics and the study on past data of geophysical exploration of Wuxu ore field, it can be inferred that there may be the position of concealed rock mass in Jianzhupo deposit. As a result, deep center and especially the turning position of NNW trend anticline of Jianzhupo deposit is metallogenic favorable area, which has a good prospecting perspective.(4) In the basis of Jianzhupo deposit conjugate joint occurence, scratch and step on fracture surface, indicating the direction of motion in metallogenic period, it can be inferred that the Jianzhupo metallogenic hydrothermal may coming from the direction of NE. The deep of Jianzhupo deposit from NE trend is the favorable position for prospecting vein ore body.(5) In the slope bottom of No.310 level section of Jianzhupo deposit, there is a 7m thick gently inclined stratiform Sn-Pb-Zn-Sb ore body has been found from the geological survey, which likes stratiform tin ore body of Dachang. Therefore, the study further confirms that the objectivity of this studing.
