With the rapid developing of social economy, many factories are focus on several correlated quality characteristics of products, all of which need to be controlled and monitored simultaneously. So the multivariate quality control problem exists widely. In this paper, a multivariate control chart for monitoring covariance matrix based on Shiryaev-Roberts procedure is proposed. The new chart can be easily designed and constructed. The simulation results show that the new chart has good performance under various kinds of covariance matrix shift, without the change in the process mean. The chart has a certain advantage compared with other multivariate charts.
