Alpine tundra of the Changbai Mountains is the most typical tundra distributions in China. Under the background of global warming, the environment change of alpine tundra is significant, which indicated important geographical and ecological meaning. To understand the effects of climate change on tundra ecosystem, we analyzed the spatial variation of tundra soil.According to the situation of environmental changes in tundra, we hypothesized that: 1) along the environmental change such as altitude, slope, and slope gradient, soil physical and chemical properties showed an obvious trend of rising or falling; 2) soil physical and chemical properties showed great differences under different vegetation types; 3) there is an positive correlations among the physical and chemical properties; 4) the driven factors affecting the spatial variation of tundra soil properties are altitude and vegetation types. therefore,we established a large plot at the elevation gradient from 2046 to 2270 m. The sample area is confined as an area of 1650 m*100 m. In the large plot, sampling number is 132 by using soil core. The sample locations were evenly distributed in the large plot. All the samples were processed in the lab and the physical and chemical properties were analyzed. Through the data analysis, the result shows that:(1) The physical and chemical properties of tundra soil showed significant changes along environmental gradients. TN, organic matter and p H significantly changed along altitude gradient; Organic matter, C/N and soil depth significantly changes along slope and soil depth gradient; Available K, TN, organic matter and soil depth significantly changed along slope directions; C/N, TN, available N and soil depth significantly changes along vegetation types gradient.(2) Physical and chemical properties of tundra soils showed correlations. TN with available N, available P, available K, C/N significantly correlated; TP with K, available P, available K and soil depth significantly correlated; We analyzed the effects of environmental changes on the soil properties. Slope and vegetation types significantly influenced organic matter; Altitude and vegetation types great affected TN; The slope is to effects on available K; Slope and slope direction greatly influenced the soil depth. In summary, tundra soil showed spatial variations along different environmental changes. Also, the effects of different environmental changes on the soil properties are fairly different. Our results could supply scientific references on the researches of spatial analysis and help to interpret the driven mechanisms of tundra soil changing.
