Metal belt of Erengaobi in Inner Mongolia is located in the north suture zone of China plate with Siberia plate, that is the Siberia plate( Ⅰ), southern Siberia plate continental margin(Ⅰ1) east of black flag- Zhalantun volcanic passive margin(Ⅰ13), four tectonic units of Chaganaobao- Zhalantun hyperplasia of palaeozoic epicontinental(Ⅰ13-4).Based on an overview of the regional geological characteristics, geophysical and remote sensing information, analyses of metallogenic geological conditions, summarized the metallogenic regularities, carried out the prospecting direction in the region of research, finally pointed out the favorable prospecting target area. The main research work has carried out as following aspect:1. Analyzed the ore-forming geological background from the regional structure, strata, structure, magmatic rocks, etc. Emphatically studied the metallogenic ore-controlling tectonic fracture structure and regional magmatic rock formation characteristics, concluded the genetic types of rock mass, introduced deposit geological characteristics from the aspects of ore bodies、ore and wall rock alteration.2. Summarized geological, geophysical and geochemical features of the veins, the geophysical performed high precision magnetic with northeast-southwest to zonal distribution and local appearing the characteristics of high precision magnetic anomaly. IP anomaly has high resistivity and high chargeability anomaly characteristics. Geochemical has multielement composite characteristics, Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, Au, As and Sb are the most main ore-forming elements and ore-forming indicator elements in this research area, with belt and piece regional enrichment characteristics.3. Analyzed the metallogenic regularities in the studied area from three aspects the spatial distribution regularity of mineralization, the time distribution, mineral symbiosis and inner factors. Researched the regional prospecting direction and summed up the prospecting model of the region, in using geology synthesize information and physical and chemical information prediction method, combination of prospecting model given metallogenic prediction in mining area and the periphery, pointed out multiple prospecting target areas.
