In recent years, with the constantly deep going of geological exploration work, the outcrop and shallow deposits are decreasing, thus the concealed deposits in various types of coverage has been a key point of geological exploration. However, The routine exploration using geochemical methods can not acquire good results for deeply conceal deposits. Therefore, scholars from home and aboard have been searching for new technique applying to mines exploration in covered areas. Geo-electrochemistry is the one that has more application. The Geo-electrochemistry method was artificially provides prospecting information by studying elements association, content distribution and anomal characteristics of materials, which were extracted from near-surface with electrical activity in alternative using electric field action.Luokedun lead-zinc multi-metal deposit in this paper research area is a typical concealed deposit located in Dongwuqi, an important area which is the state’s key point for exploration. The deposit is still in prospecting with no mining pollution. It is an ideal area to conduct Geo-electrochemical experiments. The research includes following 4 aspects:1. The paper analyzed the experiments of Geo-electrochemistry effectiveness and extraction conditions conducted in 5th exploration line of I exploration area. The effectiveness experiment shows obvious ore-forming element groups which suggest that the Geo-electrochemistry is applicable to this area and effectively indicate deep ore-body. The extraction conditions test results shows that high-density foamed plastic(28kg/m3) is much better than low-density foam plastic(18kg/m3) in Geoelectrochemistry extraction effect. The extraction effect becomes better if the extraction time of low-density foam plastic were extended. Considering extraction efficiency and other factors, one can comprehensively determined to choose high-density foamed plastic carrier and the extraction time of 24 hours as extraction conditions of Geo-electrochemistry exploration in this area.2. In this research area, we carried out Geo-electrochemistry survey and soil geochemistry survey. The result indicate that the results of Geo-electrochemistry exploration according to the extraction conditions test results is superior to soil survey results. Geo-electrochemistry exploration effectively reflects Pb、Zn、Ag、As、Cd various elements abnormal phenomenon on drill hole ore occured. The soil survey can only discover the abnormal phenomenon in outcrop area. The elements content in soil were influenced by terrain.3.The wide-spaced test indicate that in covering shallow aeolian sand landscape area of Dongwuqi, we can delineate prospecting area conducting Geo-electrochemistry region survey with 1 points/km2 exploration density and prospecting targets with 4 points/km2 exploration density and ore body with 16 points/km2 exploration density.4. The paper carried out the research of formation mechanism of Geo-electrochemistry anomalies. we discovery plenty of clay mineral particles were found from a few microns to tens of microns by observation of electric extracted foam in the scanning electron microscope(SEM). it can infered that part of electrical activity information of deep orebody relate to clay mineral.
