Streptomyces is the main source of the active natural products. Some of which have been playing an important role in the treatment of disease. Pristinamycins produced by Streptomyce pristinaespiralis, is a class of streptogramins antibiotics which is used for the treatment of by Gram-positive resistant bacteria infected disease for years. In recent years, with the development of novel analytical technologies and approaches, UPLC-MS and GC-MS have been used in biopharmaceuticals research more frequently due to their high-throughput, high-resolution and other advantages, especially in the research of metabonomics. The major objective of this article aimed at analyzing and identifing the metabolites from pristinamycins-producing strain HCCB10218 under the different cultivation conditions in order to elucidate the relationship between the changed metabolites and pristinamycins biosynthesis.Using UPLC-MS coupled together with Two Stage Mass Spectrometry approach and Database Search, metabolites of S.pristinaespiralis HCCB10218 from 17 different fermentation media were analyzed. Three known compounds named deferoxamine, nocardmine and N6-deoxynocardmine were identified, and one new compound named hydroxy-N-propionyl deferoxamine was identified. These metabolites were firstly discovered in the broth of S.pristinaespiralis, which enriched metabolites from this strain. In this research, the pristinamycins were detected by using HPLC and the amino acids were identified by using GC-MS during the course of fermentation from two different media.
