Superoxide dismutase enzymes (SOD) belong to metal enzymes,generally exist in many animals, plants and microorganisms.It has the ability to scavenge superoxide anion, defense oxygen toxic ity, reduce the oxygen free radicals do harm to the body. SOD not only has important theoretical research but also has great practical value and development prospects. Mutation and related technology can effectively solve the poor of environmental adaptability, serious degradation, high cost and other urgent problems of Spirulina platens is. At present, there are few studies of high-voltage corona electric field mutation breeding effected on Spirulina platens is. In this paper, use high-voltage corona electric field dealing with two forms of Spirulina platens is and compare SOD activity and growth of mutant algaes. The results:① the algae seeds floating well and the wallc limbing phenomenon of linear mural algae seeds is very obvious.② the growth rate of Spirulina paltensis treated with high-voltage corona electric field is faster than starting Spirulina paltensis.Spiral Spirulina paltensis algaes grow faster than linear algaes.The Spirulina paltensis treated 120min growth fastest.③ Crude SOD specific activity of treated Spirulina paltensis is higher than untreated ones’.Spiral Spirulina paltensis’SOD specific activity is higher than linear ones’.④ Specific activity of SOD that salting from filtrate is higher than that from Spirulina paltensis. The specific activity of 6.0 filtrate SOD is 11 times higher than specific activity of SOD salted from Spirulina paltensis. SOD specific activity respectively were 2045.22U/mg and 183.79 U/mg. The specific activity of 1.0 spiral Spirulina paltensis filtrate SOD is 4.4 times higher than specific activity of SOD salted from Spirulina paltensis. SOD specific activity of 2.0 mutated spiral Spirulina paltensis and 8.0 mutated linear Spirulina paltensis is significantly higher than other groups.⑤ In this experimente, optimum pH of salting SOD is pH9.0;optimum temperature is 25℃~30℃; the thermal stability and time stability are all very strong.⑥ After SDS-PAGE polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, every sample showed clear double strips,molecular weight of SOD are about 47kD and 52kD.
