The main research area of this article is the Gaotaizi oilfield, it is located in Daqing placanticline. It is a secondary structure belt on the the three stage structure unit in the south of Daqing placanticline. It is a typical anticline structure with basic symmetry on both sides. The Tai-pingtun structure is located in the north east, the Putaohua structure is located in the north, the Qijia-Gulong sag is located in the west. From the end of last century, it was aimed at the target to water injection development. After the effective exploitation, the study area is in the development stage of high water cut development. The geological knowledge and technical guidance obtained, has been unable to face the replacement pressure and the more difficult tapping the potential.Therefore the study on the purpose layer of oil-water distribution has become a major problem we have to face today.With the guidance of the theory of petroleum geology and exploitation of oil and gas geology, a systematic study was done on purpose layer structure characteristics, regional fault characteristics, reservoir characteristics, reservoir types in a single structure, the main controlling factors of the oil-water distribution. Finally, depicts the effective expanding scope, and estimate reserves, provides guidance for sustainable water injection development in Gaotaizi oilfield.Firstly, based on the structural background, fault characteristics and reservoir characteristics of Putaohua oil reservoir in Gaotaizi oil field, divided the study area into 14 independent single block. Use the regional reservoir profile method, small oil-bearing layer method and probability statistics method to fine calibration analysis the each block the oil pan and water top, then analyses the change characteristics of old and new boundaries in Putaohua oil reservoir. Then take the research of Putaohua reservoir type and oil distribution, focusing on the structural characteristics, reservoir development characteristics of sand bodies, the lateral sealing of faults and the oil-water distribution control of matching relationship between fault-sand.Based on the summary of regional fracture characteristics and distribution of oil-water,under the background of regional structure and on the basis of fault circle effectiveness, focusing on the fault sand advantage configuration to evaluation. Based on the analysis of sedimentary facies, tectonic fracture and the distribution of sand body to preferably the favorable target area. Focusing on the reservoir with a characteristic of locating in the oil and water boundary or located in the anticline slope, with a high development ofstructural traps, good Putaohua reservoir, better fault and reservoir configuration relations, good lateral fault sealing and high validity fault circle, with fault reservoir or fault lithology reservoir development.
