| Based on the method of transfer matrix, spin transport properties of electrons in achain of regular polygonal quantum rings with Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbitcoupling were researched. Building the quantum network model of the chain ofregular polygonal quantum rings and solving the relevant formulas, we obtained thespin transmission conductance.First, spin transport properties of electrons in a chain of regular polygonalquantum rings with Rashba spin-orbit coupling were researched. We found that thespin polarized conductance can not appear in the absence of the Rashba spin-orbitcoupling. When the Rashba spin-orbit coupling was considered, the spin polarizationof the conductance in a polygonal quantum chain can be controlled by the strength ofthe Rashba spin-orbit coupling. In addition, odd-even parity oscillations occur whenelectrons tunnelling through a point-connected chain of quantum rings. Furthermore,the minimum conductance of a wire-connected chain quantum rings was independentwith the length of the chain.Then, spin transport properties of electrons in a chain of regular polygonalquantum rings with Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling have also beenresearched. When the strengths of two types of spin-orbit coupling have the samevalue, the curve of the total conductance for a chain is the same as for the chainwithout spin-orbit coupling. However, the spin polarized conductance appearsinduced by the Rashba and the Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling. When the strengths oftwo types of spin-orbit coupling have different values, the conductance of a singlequantum ring is symmetric with respect to the lines k ka b= ±. But, the conductance ofa chain is symmetric with respect to the line k0a=. |
