In our country there are many mountains, where earthquakes occur frequently.Mountainous means that we need to have lots of slopes. The seismic instability of the slope is one of the most common geological disasters, which poses a great threat to human life. So the slope dynamic stability issue is a hot topic in geotechnical engineering field. Analysis of current research on this issue has certain limitations. We can perform the analysis to optimize the development of the theory.Firstly, this paper summarizes the results of scholars, and uses ANSYS software to the finite element numerical simulation of slope. Secondly, perform the analysis of slope stability using strength reduction on gravity conditions. Then introduce the seismic loading, transient analysis of seismic waves on slope model, stress-strain of slope under seismic load characteristics such as sum. Consider acceleration in spec-quasi-static method with high amplification, which improves the quasi-static method. This paper draws the following conclusions.①The numerical results are summarized. Fit seismic amplification coefficient and slope height, which is used for the improvement of the quasi-static method.Improvement of pseudo-static method and specification for quasi-static method is used to analysis of slope stability. We can know that improvement of pseudo static method is more conservative.②Seismic spectrum analysis of slope displacement response can be observed larger than slope displacement response. According to the results of the transient analysis of seismic wave, we can know that closer to the slope position, greater the stress, and the displacement vector is larger. So it appears, the greater the possibility of instability.③Under dead load, analysis of slope stability by strength reduction. According to slope stability can be obtained of the calculation process. We can observe the whole process of plastic zone extension and could eventually undermine the position of the sliding surface.
